Benefits of the Laerdal HeartStart HS1:
The HeartStart HS1 is reliable and safe and works by detecting a ‘shockable rhythm’ in the patient and instructing the user to deliver a shock. If no shock is needed, the unit will not tell the user to deliver one.
Programmed to perform daily, weekly or monthly Automatic Self-Tests and with a successful test indicated by a green light (active status indicator), the HeartStart is built to be ready for use when required and alerts the user when the battery is low and needs to be replaced. This defibrillator also self checks the pads to ensure that they will deliver a shock when required.
Environmental Parameters - Environmental tests were conducted to prove the HS1 AED’s reliability and ability to operate in different conditions.
The HeartStart is small, light and can therefore easily be carried and operated by a single person.
With clear labelling and instructional illustrations to help the user follow the 1-2-3 operation of: turn the unit on, follow the prompts & then shock enables rapid response to medical emergencies. Pads Detection System - The AED pads detection system provides a voice prompt to alert the use of the pads are not making proper contact with the patient’s skin.
