Find the Right Electrode Pads for Your AED

Electrode pads expire. It happens whether your AED has been used or not. Once the gel dries out, the adhesive weakens, or the expiry date passes, the pads for the defibrillator cannot be relied on. In a cardiac arrest, that matters.

We stock replacement pads for all the major AED brands used in the UK, including Zoll, Philips, Cardiac Science and PhysioControl. That covers adult pads, paediatric pads, combination pads that work for both, and pads with CPR feedback built in to guide compressions in real time. We also carry pads for older devices that are no longer manufactured, so if your AED is a few years old, chances are we have what you need.

What is the shelf life of AED electrode pads?

Most pads have a shelf life of 18 months to 2 years. Some, like the Zoll CPR-D padz, last up to 5 years. Check the expiry date printed on the pack. If the pads are close to their expiry date, they only need to be replaced just before they expire.

Will these pads fit my AED?

Electrode pads are not universal. They are specific to the make and model of your device. Every product listing on this page states clearly which AED it is compatible with. If you cannot find your model or want to double-check before ordering, call us on 01403 597 597 or send us a message. We would rather you ask than order the wrong thing.

Do I need adult or paediatric pads?

That depends on your setting. Workplaces, gyms, and public spaces typically need adult pads as standard. If children under 8 years old are regularly present, paediatric pads or a combination set should also be on hand. Some AEDs use a single pad set for both with a paediatric key or adaptor. Check your device manual if you are unsure, or call us and we will confirm.
