AED's (Automated External Defibrillator)
We’re pleased to offer a full range of the latest Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), giving you reliable and effective options for lifesaving equipment.
An AED is a device that can deliver an electric shock to someone whose heart has stopped (cardiac arrest). This shock—called defibrillation—helps the heart regain a normal rhythm and is a vital part of saving a life. You may also hear an AED called a defib or a PAD (Public Access Defibrillator).
AEDs come in two types: fully automatic and semi-automatic.
• Semi-automatic AED: The device checks the person’s heart rhythm and tells the user when to press a button to deliver a shock, if needed.
• Fully Automatic AED's The device checks the heart rhythm and will deliver a shock automatically when required. It will instruct everyone to stand clear before doing so. Both types are designed to be used by anyone—even without training. However, a semi-automatic AED can be more suitable in certain situations, such as:
• Busy environments, where you may want to make sure people are safely out of the way before delivering a shock.
• Wet areas, like swimming pools, where you need to ensure the person is in a safe, dry position first.
If you're unsure which type is right for you, Please feel free to contact us as we are happy to help you work through your requirements.
We also provide a range of Training AEDs, which are ideal for teaching responders, workplace teams, and anyone who has never used an AED before. These devices allow safe, hands-on practice to build confidence in emergency situations.
