• Standard hydrocollator hot pacs – general-purpose pacs for back, shoulder and larger muscle groups.
• Oversize pacs – wider coverage for larger treatment areas.
• Neck contour packs – shaped to sit around the neck and shoulders rather than lying flat.

Pacs are never applied directly to skin. Covers sit between the pac and the patient, protecting skin from direct heat and making cross-infection control straightforward between appointments:

• All Terry Covers – a towelling layer, good for general use and easy laundering.
• Foam Filled Terry Covers – an added foam layer for a gentler, more even heat transfer.

Running your hydrocollator safely

Although hydrocollators are known to be maintenance-free, there are several tips that help ensure their longevity. The water in the hydrocollator needs to be kept at an adequate level because the pacs require complete immersion for proper heating. It is not necessary to change the temperature of the thermostat to one higher than the recommended one by the manufacturer. Covers should be laundered between patients as part of your normal infection control routine.
