Training AED

The Training AED is designed to prepare first responders for a variety of scenarios in which the basic skills required to use an AED will be vital.

Before using fully-functional AEDs, all responders should have completed an appropriate training program, which may include the use of a Training AED. Having completed such a course, the responder should demonstrate a proficiency in assessing the patient for lack of responsiveness, absence of breathing, lack of circulation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and knowledge of applicable medical protocols and procedures.

Unlike a real AED, the training device only provides simulated shock delivery and does not have the capacity to output the high-voltage you would get with a real device, ensuring safety during training.

Also supplied with 8 pre-configured training scenarios that simulate realistic sudden cardiac arrest episodes (See the scenario descriptions in page 8 of manual). These scenarios are compatible with training programs developed by nationally and internationally recognized responder programs.

 

The AED trainer is designed for use on human bodies and manikins only.
